A well prepared Eforiro stew should be thick, for this reason, the meat stock has very little water. The palm oil is either heated or bleached and is the base for the soup. The spinach is well cooked and fresh to maintain nutritional value.
  

It is the Yoruba version of the edikang ikong soup and is loaded with all manner of orishishi. While Edikang ikong soup is prepared with water leaves and pumpkin. Eforiro is prepared with spinach and it really does go over and above in delivery of taste and culture.
